Papers intended for African Journal of Computing & ICT (Afr. J. Comp. & ICT), ISSN 2006-1781, may be submitted in Microsoft Word format by e-mail to: submissions@afrjcict.net; submissions.afrjcict@gmail.com  (with copies to: oluwade@sigmaxi.net; bamidele@aims.ac.za)  for initial editorial evaluation.

Papers should be written in clear, concise and grammatically correct English (with 10 font size and Times New Roman font style) so that they are intelligible to the professional reader who is not a specialist in any particular field.

TITLE PAGE
This should contain the title of the contribution and the name(s) and (postal/contact) address(es) of the author(s), including email addresses. Telephone and facsimile numbers may be provided, if available. The main title should, where possible, contain the major key words used in the body of the manuscript.

ABSTRACT
All manuscripts must include a brief but informative Abstract intelligible without reference to the main text. It should, as much as possible, not exceed 300 words. It  should reflect the objective, scope,  methodology, hypothesis or rationale for the work, the main findings and suggested future works.

KEYWORDS
3-6 keywords  should be provided below the Abstract to assist with indexing of the article.

INTRODUCTION
This section should include sufficient background information to set the work in context. The aims of the manuscript should be clearly stated.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
This section should provide answers to such questions like:
• Why was the research done?.
• What was the context of the work?.
i.e. the author(s) should trace the problem to be solved, relating it to (current) literature.

METHODOLOGY

• What method(s) is(are) adopted for the research  and how is the analysis applied to the problem?
* How did you go about solving or making progress on the problem?
* What scientific or engineering model(s) was(were) used?

* What social scientific theories, postulates and constructs guided the research?

RESULTS/FINDINGS

• What result(s) did you get?
• State what you found and relate it to the problem.
• Summarize the major results in numbers, avoid vague, hand waving results such as “very small” or “significant”.

DISCUSSIONS
This should consider the result(s) in relation to any hypothesis(ses) advanced in the Introduction. The study/result should be placed in the context of other work.

RESEARCH IMPLICATIONS
• What are the implications of  the research findings ?
• State the relevance, implications, or significance of the results or conclusions, to the business.
Do note that significance of work is often implied by the recommendations or implications for future work.
FUTURE WORKS
Provide direction for future work or what can be done with what you have done or left undone
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The source of financial grants and other funding must be acknowledged.

Titles of journals should be given in full. ‘In press’ can only be used to cite manuscripts actually accepted for publication in a journal. Citations such as ‘manuscript in preparation’ or ‘manuscript submitted’ should be avoided. Data from such manuscripts can only be mentioned in the text as ‘unpublished data’.

TABLES
Tables should be self-contained and complement, but not duplicate, information contained in the text. Tables should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals. Each table should be presented on a separate page with a comprehensive but concise legend above the table. Tables should be double-spaced and vertical lines should not be used to separate columns. Column headings should be brief, with units of measurement in parentheses; all abbreviations should be defined in footnotes. Use superscript letters (not numbers) for footnotes and keep footnotes to a minimum. *, **, *** should be reserved for P values. The table and its legend/footnotes should be understandable without reference to the text.

CHECK LIST
Prior to submission, we recommend that you ask a colleague to read over your paper and/or use an appropriate spelling and grammar check software. This is to ensure the paper is of high standard and conforms to a high level of scientific writing. Before submission of your manuscript, please check that:
• All references cited within the text are included in the reference section.
• All figures and tables are mentioned in the text.
• Figures are at least 300 d.p.i.
• The pages are numbered.
